2010 Eyeglass Counting

The 2010 Central City Lions Club Tallying Committee

The Central City Lions Club sat down on Wednesday, January 6, 2010 to count the eyeglasses, lenses and hearing aides that were collected within the community of Central City and Centralia.  The eyeglasses that were donated by the people of these communities totalled 1,454 pairs of eyeglasses of which these eyeglasses will be cleaned up and distributed to underdeveloped countries. As well as the eyeglasses, there were 24 hearing aides collected in the community and 2,600 eyeglass lenses that will be donated to Lenscrafters. 

The members of the Centralia/Central City Lions Club would like to thank all the people in our communities for their donation so other people in need can benefit from their generosity.  A BIG THANK YOU to all those who have taken the time to make a donation to the Lions Club.
